I like this old barn, it shows a bit of sadness and melancholy, memories of better days. If I had to choose, I would go for this one, although the other one looks warmer and happier, but I like the mood heregreetings monika

i really like the original! to me it oozes a bitter-sweet sadness, a pleasantly melancholy "air of regret": the barn literally seems to be a huge, good-natured living and breathing… thing… a has-been, with two sad and drowsy eyes (the tiny windows on its wooden front!), still enduring the cold winds and rain and remembering those cherished times when it was still young and there were still cows and pigs and horses around to give shelter to, when life as a responsible barn still made sense ; ))… at them moment it is telling its sorrows to the adjoining neighbor who – naturally! – has no choice but to listen ; ))! now i've made myself sad and sentimental, i'll turn to the warmer, happier version ; ))… hugs, sabine.Die Mohnblumen 31/03/2011 5:39
