Anticipating the Race
The dragon boat races start tomorrow - then the boats will be outfitted with dragon heads and tails, there will be 20 paddlers, 1 drummer and a helmsman in each boat - and 8 boats will race side by side (will show an image of the course tomorrow).
Vancouver has the oldest running races outside of Asia with over 100 boats and 10000 anticipated visitors ..... hope the weather holds out - the sun was almost too bright for this picture (sorry, have no way of toning it down).

They are anticipating the race and vying for the winning position and the one on the right has won this one! Can you take a picture tomorrow with a boat all dressed up with their dragon outfit on? I would love to see it. I have my fingers crossed for perfect weather conditions for you. There are alot of visitors expected!Sally
