Artzuid in Amsterdam 1
Jaume Plensa is from Barcelona and like many Catalan artists his sculptural work is highly poetical. In Grand Latent Blanc we see a crouched figure in total relaxation, like a foetus or someone in a yoga pose. He or she is covered with geographical notations, turning the sculpture into a metaphor for the earth.
