Fernando indeed i agree. as a long time B&W film based photographer the switch to digital is interesting. These represent some of my first images taken with a friends 7mp Sony 12x zoom fun but no RAW and so to get what i would have done here with film (B&W, #25 red filter) took some tinkering.
The original colour shoots were very soft, though i believe i did use a polarizer on this one, and so getting to contrast i wanted especially in the sky was a challenge. I used PowerRetouche B&WStudio plugin to get close to a #25 red filter and to get a B&W conversion to a Pan F profile rather than generic greay scale conversion and then tinkered in Ligthroom. I got a great version of Hillside 4 and then lost it!!! and now have only the perfect thumbnail left as i reminder… i'm still trying to get back to that version, hmmm… oh well
