Autumn Travels

Autumn on the Trent-Severn Waterway @ the Peterborough Lift Lock - the world's highest hydraulic lift lock.

Lighting conditions were difficult with constantly changing cloud and penetrable haze - which tinted what sun that DID come through.

despite the tough lighting conditions you describe, you still ended up with a very beautiful and special autumn picture! the mood somehow seems very "optimistic and cheerful" , which might be due to the gorgeous red trees, their "matte" reflections in the water, but i think it also has to do with that precious little detail of the third goose from the left, rising his head as though sighing with pleasure at their sight, and enjoying the beauty of a temperate autumn day by the canal with a flock of friends ; ))! kind regards, sabine.
