Zwei Inderinnen auf dem Weg zum Ostergottesdienst in den Backwaters. Die meisten Christen Indiens leben in Goa und Kerala (ca. 30% der Bevölkerung). Hier begann die Kolonialisierung des Subkontinents. Positive Hinterlassenschaft sind die bald errichteten Missionarsschulen und ein nachfolgendes funktionierendes Schulsystem. Heute ist die Alphabetisierungsrate mit nahezu 100% die höchste Indiens.

Positive estate was soon the erection of missionary schools followed by a functioning school system. Today the literacy rate is with nearly 100% the highest in India.
