Blossoming Buckbean

The Buckbean blossoms early in the summer with racemes of white or pinkish flowers. The leaves taste intensely bitter, and has been used in medicine. The specie grows in wet soil, often marshland. The flowers don't do much to catch your attention as you pass by, but if you get in close you will be surprised at their complexity and beauty.
