Bodnant viburnum
On the spots where snow and ice are gone, the first harbingers of early spring can be found in nature, like this Bodnant viburnum (also known as Arrowwood).
It’s a delightful early flowering tree that produces clusters of pinkish-red-white blooms from mid winter to early spring.
Its flowers (resembling fruit tree blossoms) have a rich sweet fragrance and although they look pretty fragile, they withstand even the most severe frost !

German name : Bodnant-Schneeball (auch Duft-Schneeball und Winter-Schneeball genannt)
Latin name : Viburnum bodnantense

Natürliche Farben mit einemtollen HGSo nah am Stamm hab ich sie noch nie gesehen -
hab einen großen Baum davon im Garten...
Der Winterschneeball ist der erste im Jahr der blüht ....
