Interesting idea. Minimalistic but expressive. I would darken the lower left corner and perhaps the whole picture could be more contrasty. The texture of the background is a good thought.

Nice idea, but not enough for gallery I think.
By the way, if everybody would use the voting like you (to get comments), we wouldn't need the normal channels anymore. Everybody proposes all their own photos and it would end with voting pro, contra or skip without properly looking at the photos, because there would not be enough time anymore for the thousands of new proposals.
It would be: skip, skip, pro, skip, skip, skip contra, skip, skip, pro.....puh....still 1906.0567 more...skip, skip, pro...

don't pay attention to those that monitor and police other members histories and comments... especially those two up there. Its a bit of a double act they've got going..

use the site the best way you see fit.. comment where you like.. do as you like

excellent use of the gallery..

I really like the image and will go and have a wee look at the rest of your work... thanks for bringing it to our attention..
