Brasov/Kronstadt - Impressions of the old town | Romania, Dec. 2005

December 2005 in Romania. Impressions of a visit to the frosty old town of Brasov. Pedestrians walk along Michael Weiss Street (Strada Michael Weiss) in the light of the low winter sun. Impressive house, although in need of renovation, with a bay window at the intersection with the Strada Republicii. Strada Republicii itself was torn open at the time for complete street reconstruction work. (IMG_0612)

Dezember 2005 in Rumänien. Impressionen eines Besuchs in der frostigen Altstadt von Brasov. Fußgänger in der Michael Weiss Gasse/Straße (Strada Michael Weiss) im Licht der tiefstehenden Wintersonne. Imposantes, wenn auch renovierungsbedürftiges Jugendstilhaus mit Erker an der Kreuzung mit der – damals für umfassende Erneuerungsarbeiten aufgerissenen – Strada Republicii (ehemals Purzengasse) (IMG_0612)

Nachtrag 2023-10-24: ich habe heute einen Artikel zur Sanierung dieses markanten Gebäudes gefunden. Es wurde nach vierjähriger Restaurierung am 16. Dezember 2022 mit dem Namen „Kulturbank Apollonia" eingeweiht! Für mehr Infos siehe:

decembrie 2005 in Romania. Impresii ale unei vizite in orasul vechi inghetat al Brasovului. Pietoni pe strada Michael Weiss (Strada Michael Weiss) in lumina soarelui scazut de iarna. Impresionanta, desi nevoie de renovare, casa cu bovindou la intersectia cu Strada Republicii, care a fost daramata la acea vreme pentru lucrari de reinnoire a drumului.

Décembre 2005 en Roumanie. Impressions d'une visite dans la vieille ville glaciale de Brasov. Piétons sur la rue Michael Weiss (Strada Michael Weiss) à la lumière du faible soleil d'hiver. Impressionnante, bien qu'à rénover, maison avec baie vitrée à l'intersection avec la Strada Republicii, qui a été démolie à l'époque pour des travaux de réfection de la route.
