Brown Rat
The brown rat is native to northern China & Mongolia and has spread to all continents (except Antarctica) in the Middle Ages.
It is the dominant rat in Europe and much of North America, making it the most successful mammal on the planet alongside humans.
With rare exceptions, the brown rat lives wherever humans live, particularly in urban areas.

German name : Wanderratte
Latin name : Rattus norvegicus

Ich mag Ratten überhaupt nicht, aber ich muss zugeben, dass diese Aufnahme mich schon fasziniert. Die großen Knopfaugen schaut es freundlich in seine vertraute Umgebung.LG von Constanze

Many people are afraid of rats or simply don't like them. I actually think they're quite cute. But of course I know that they carry diseases and can become a real nuisance in the city.Best regards Reinhard
