Thanks. I liked the soft light.
      Bywell is a curious place.
It is a deserted medieval village.
In 1400 it was thriving - but it died out for some reason.
Now - it is left with two beautiful old churches, and a few grand houses, and the other houses have disappeared.
One story that sticks in my memory about Bywell concerns the great Flood of 1771 - when the river tyne was struck by one of the greatest river floods in english history. The story is - that a little baby was washed away in her cradle from Bywell - but she was rescued , in her cradle, - at the mouth of the river at South Shields - 20 miles away.
I think there is a painting of  this event.
I hope the story is not "apocryphal".
