Cane harvest

Looks like a prehistoric confrontation between giant beasts. The cane harvester waits for an empty truck to arrive to go on cutting. The white birds are snowy egrets that follow the harvester like seagulls follow the plough. The cane is first burned to remove dry dead foliage from the base of the plants, then the harvester cuts & chops it up all in one operation. It then goes to the mill for refining.
