La corsa campestre fa parte, a buon diritto, di una non vasta cerchia di sport che sono solito definire "sani", non contaminati, cioè, da interessi economici, da abbinamenti pubblicitari milionari.
Coloro i quali li praticano, lo fanno solitamente sottraendo tempo e tanta energia a se stessi e alla famiglia, ripagati, quando va bene, da una medaglietta o da una coppa in simil-argento.
Nel celebrare questa attività e chi la pratica con devozione e tanta passione ho voluto, con l'effetto seppia, accentuare il legame con un passato in cui, forse, lo spirito sportivo era maggiormente rispettato. Grazie.

Cross country racing is rightly considered as a part of a wide range of sports
that I tend to define as "healthy" - uncontaminated, that is, by economic
interests and/or major sponsorship.
A little tin medal, a fake silver cup and similar trinkets are the usual
reward for those who practice it, the toll being the time they take off
themselves and their family life.
To celebrate this sport and the brave follower gifted with such a devotion
and passion I intended, through the use of the sepia effect, to emphasize the
liaison with a past when, perhaps, sportmanship was being tributed more
respect. Thank you.
