Crossing near the spring of Brahmaputra
The point we crossed this icy riverbed called Khando Saglam Chu and is one of many tributaries which crows to the well known major river Tsangpo, in India called the Brahmaputra originates in the Jima Yangzong glacier near Mt. Kailash. It then flows east for about 1,700 km, at an average height of 4,000 m and is thus the highest of the major rivers in the world.
My picture was captured in May 2004 with Kodachrome 25 ASA and scanned with NIKON CoolScan V ED
