Dog Rose

The Dog Rose is a climbing wild rose species (native to Europe, northwest Africa and western Asia) with flowers that are usually pale pink, but can vary between a deep pink and white.

In the 18th and 19th century this plant was used to treat the bite of rabid dogs, hence the name "dog rose".
