Plumeria or Frangipani, varieties of single species and hybrids are planted in parks and gardens throughout the tropical belt for the beauty and fragrance of the flowers. They are most fragrant at night in order to lure sphinx moths to pollinate them. The flowers yield no nectar, however, and simply trick their pollinators.
