Fair

- Paris -

This statue is in the "Jardins des Tuileries", a park located between the Louvre and the Place de La Concord in Paris.
The park is ornamented with a large collection of sculptures from the 17th to the 21st century.

There was a fair in the park in front of the Louvre. The wheel gave a nice background for this statue.

Thanks When for proposing this picture to the gallery. Eventhough it didn't quite make it, what you wrote means a lot to me. And it was a good learning experience searching for a bit of background on this statue in an earlier discussion we had.

Thank you folks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I appreciate it...
    Regards,
    Robert

Brilliant Mark, one of the reasons I like it with the gondolas too. White statue.

no one has mentioned the cleverness of the title, and the various meanings of "fair"
pro from me, maybe for the wrong reasons, but pro anyway

I think the idea is very good.
I would like to see the background of the houses completelly blured. And I think in monochrome it can make much more effect.

Lol. Yeah, I think I recall you mentioning that in the past Maguire. Thanks for the laugh at your doll aversion - sorry, it made me laugh. Appreciate your skip.

I have a strong dislike of images of statues, dolls and masks.. I don't mind statues, dolls and masks (well maybe I hate dolls), I just grew at images of them. So because I can't be impartial.. skip-a-roony.
