Frauenkirche und Rathaus
On the right is the Neues Rathaus(New town hall) of Munich. It was built between 1867 and 1908. It has a very notable Neo-Gothic style of architecture. It is the seat of the city government including the city council and offices of the mayors.
On the left is the Frauenkirche, Munich's cathedral. It is considered as Munich's identity which features on most of Munich's postcards and ads. It was build between 1468-1488 with a gothic architecture. No building in the city is allowed to have a height higher than the Frauenkirche. It was heavily damaged during the allied bombings in world war II, but like many other buildings(and cities in germany) it was restored in several phases to its previous glory.
