GocheGanas - Landscape

In distant Africa, there is still a country in which it is possible to lose oneself in a landscape in which there are more animals than people. Namibia has its great deserts, its canyon, the Etosha Pan and his endless savannahs.
Namibia - the country in South-western Africa between the Orange River in the South and the Kunene River in the North - is a barren, rugged country, and yet so inviting and almost familiar and easy to travel. Namibia is the dreamland of the photographer, a country of contrasts and vivid colours. Namibia, which is one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world especially has a grip on those looking for peace and nature, who enjoy magnificent landscapes, desert and the wide.

The hostile Namib Desert expands along the storm-tossed coastline with its countless shipwrecks. The deserts orange-red sand dunes are up to 150 kilometers wide, the most powerful dune up to 300 meters high. It is the oldest desert in the world, with a unique flora and fauna. Millions of years ago diamonds were washed into the sea by the Oranje. Flow, waves and wind wore them in the sand dunes of the Namib and created one of Namibias riches.
