Great Blue Heron in full plumage.......
.......I see the great blue herons all the time in this refuge, but a first for the full plumage, or maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough.... :-))) shot with a Canon 5D w/ Canon "L" 100 x 400mm (stovepipe) lens, using an Alzo flip-bracket and window mount for my truck, works really good, but I only put the camera in it when I'm stopped, I broke the first bracket trying to drive and hold the camera while it was mounted, first bump, BAMM. The Bald Knob National Wildlife Refuge is over 900,000 acres and all the roads are gravel and dirt, so if ya bring the Land Rover expect to get it dirty and wet...... :-)))
Thanks for dropping by, leave a comment if ya like......
