The Green-veined White is a small butterfly that prefers to live in a flowery and moist environment.
The shot shows the butterfly while feeding on Dandelion which is its favourite flower.
The adult male of this species has a distinctive lemon smell.

Very good shot of this Rapsweißling. You captured him in a wonderful light. Excellent details on the wings. It's always so interesting to read your stories. Next time I see one of those I'll try to smell the lemon scent...assumed I recognize it :-)andrea
