Very Powerfull! I think the boy may be a orphan and the couple want to adopt him because they can´t have children by themselves... hope is what brings them together...As for the foto, her ear-ring is a littel confusing, as well as her hair-clip separating his left thumb from the hand.
But all in all a great picture.

I would have done it the other way. The child bright and sharp and the couple in this unsharpness. Then you could interpret it as he wishes, that his parents would be happy together instead of fighting each other.Just a thougt!
