House Sparrow
House Sparrows generally live in the neighbourhood of human settlements, but this female specimen came to visit the isolated island now and then.
In large parts of Europe, populations of House Sparrows are decreasing. The population has dropped in half since the 1980s !

Die Vögelchen meiner Kindheit - früher gab es die bei uns in Massen. Heute immer mehr verdrängt von Elstern, Dolen und Tauben. Nur Amseln und ein paar Meisen sieht man noch, aber den "Spatz" (so heißt er bei uns) sieht man selten.Deshalb wird das aus Sentimentalität mein Favorit.
