Hungtou is a village a few kilometres away from the small airport linking Taiwan to Lanyu (Orchid Island). It’s not touristy but is an excellent base for walking up in the surrounding mountains or walking along the coast.

In January, there were flowers, butterflies and lots of birds. The sun was shining, it’s was warm but not hot and the sea was deep blue. What more can you ask?
