International Mother Language Day

The Concept 'International Mother Language Day' was developed from bangladesh. This is based on Bangadesh's political history. Once, Bangladesh was known as East Pakistan as a part of Pakistan. in 1952, Pakistani ruler declared that only Urdu (most Pakistani speak in Urdu) would the Governmental Language of both East and West Pakistan. Then, the people of East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) opposed this declaration. General people demonstrated with the student of Dhaka University. in 21st february of 1952, when a demonstration was going nearby Dhaka Medical College, police opened fire of that and a lot of people died. On that spot, a monument was made. From then, the 21st day of february is treated as Mother Language Day in Bangladesh. Before several years ago, this day was fix to celebrate as International Mother Language Day. I got this shot when i was working on mother language day for my portfolio in this year. This two kids are brother, came with their parents to pay homage to the victim of Pakistani police in 1952. The monument is seen behind the people.
