It strikes
My only regret is that I didn't capture the top of the lightning in the clouds. I had too much of the water in the picture and cropped out the better part of it. The thunderstorm was quite far away and it was taken with a Nikon 180mm f/2.8 We got very little rain, but the wind suddenly picked up from nothing to about 40 knots in under 20 seconds and it was like a sandstom on the beach. All very typical thunderstorms...
