Look up!

Peles Palace, Sinaia.
This is the lobby of the palace - in particular the spiral staircase. Peles Castle was the favorite residence of King Carroll and his family. Next generations of kings improved and rebuilt the palace and the surrounding area. Peles is one of the most famous castles as in Romania (and a favorite tourist destination for most Romanians), and across Europe as well. The building is absolutely beautiful both from the outside and inside. (Photos) and access to the palace park are free, but inside- you'll need a ticket - and you'll have to wait for a group to gather (but it's quite crowded there, so I guess I won't wait long).
To take pictures inside the building, you'll have to pay a fee that was 32 RON in 2013, it could have been raised since then. The tour guides check whether you have paid to take photos in each room, so don't try to cheat, not gonna work. Besides, the palace is so beautiful that it will be hard to resist the temptation.
Word of advice: if you have time, take a ticket for the three floors of the palace, what they show to the groups of tourists pales in comparison to what can be seen from above.
