I had three dogs growing up and the best ones were where I captured their personality. The horse should tell a story. Even if you just take the gold light reflecting off their mane and neck from from below it would tell more about how you feel about the horse and then would bring an outside observer to a more personal feeling. It might remind someone about how they felt about their own animal. The cat works for me. Have fun.
