My Istanbul Impressions (11)
The Suleymaniye Mosque
Süleymaniye Mosque, built on the order of Sultan Süleyman ... the construction work began in 1550 and the mosque was finished in 1558 - much more info and great shots in Wikipedia (I found it difficult to photograph this view)

The grates of the window I make the image very suggestive.A fine picture.

i totally agree with leonid: the "1st person feel" – what a great observation and remark! – and the vaguely constrained and fortress-like view through the silhouetted iron lattice make this image special and very atmospherical! the ethereal blue sky is where one longs to be… ; ) hugs, sabine.Markus 4 04/12/2014 8:53

...Oh! thank goodness, I thought you might have gotten yourself thrown in the dungeon and was shooting through the bars of incarceration... so glad that it was just a matter of trying to get a good shot of the beautiful Mosque.....Hugs of relief,
