      I told you - I would be going back there in mid-august - to look for the heather.
      There is less heather on the moors, compared to previous years.
      Part of the problem may be disease.
      Also - the ferns, (bracken), are competing with - and over-coming the heather in some places.
      And large areas of heather have been burnt by the land-owners - possibly because of disease on the heather.
      They also , routinely, burn the heather - to encourage new, fresh, growth.
