New York | Old Field Lighthouse |

This year we decided to extend our stay in the NYC area to explore the Eastern part of Long Island.

We came to the conclusion that its worth it. There are beautiful places and we just discovered a small portion of the huge island.
However, the Big Apple´s hustle-bustle is still noticeable.

The Old Field Lighthouse is one of several similar constructions along the East coast. This one was the first lighthouse on the north shore of Long Island, erected in 1823. It served until 1933.
Today it is home to the Chief Constable of Old Field village and the village clerk.
