Oceanfront's Milky Way thanks to 200 m darkness
Although not as spectacular as what you get 6 km to the north and 900 meter higher, above the Fire Lake, a 200 meters shield of darkness is all you need at the clifftops boasting the mildest climate of the Azores in order to fade Vila Franca do Campo's lights and get this view of the Milky way.
That's only one of the jewels that Madeira's best location, the clifftops where the Reid's hotel was built 1891 , has lost long ago.
