I like this version of the Lüneburg Harbor even more, because the main subjects correspond historically so nicely:
Before railway times the main route for goods from Hamburg to the South did go over Lüneburg. The goods came per ship; the two ships are actually re-constructed versions they used at that time, they could carry tons. Light goods were unloaded directly to the warehouse with its Baroque facade (it was rebuilt after old plans). Heavier goods had to be unloaded by the crane. It once took out a steam locomotive. I will tell you a little more about that in my next image.
