Old Plain Wreck
An old plane wreck in Iceland.
A dC 3 ran out of gas and crashed about 1970. This is whats left of her. I asked a few other 500px shoots where this was. I got some cords, but with then came, " If you squint , you might see it, and good luck".
This was good advice because that's what happen. You can't see the plane from the road and here are two disturbing rivers and an ocean that can make the going spooky. Lots of track that dug in in the past so you have to keep your speed up and enjoy the bounce. Luck cam when an Icelander , old and rusty with the heart of lion came to a gate I was trying to figure out if this was the way. Turned out it was and I had to keep up with a land rover with fat tires. I was in a 4x4 made by the Koreans and you can't keep up. HOwever the rooter tail was all I needed to navigate with. So you get to a water crossing and the water runs fast and at some points it's a bit deep enough to want to clim on your seat. The trick this day was to make a diagonal approach into the head of the rushing water. The you have to still find it, bt that's easy. After shooting for an hour or more you forget you way back and you know all you have to do is grive straight and follow the tracks. That's tracks you didn't follow in the first place. The story is simple the 4x4 wanted to dig in to the soft black volcano stony sand . I put the more than used 4x4 in revers and when down turned around and tried to find my way back with the tracks I make getting in. After a few misses I somehow identified tire tracks from the car and followed them out. This adventure among others made this iceland journey worth while. I'm still here and will trie to meet up with Bring before It's over. If you don't know Bring. Lets just say he's the guru of Iceland photography. He lives in Iceland.

How can you post this in the section "crituque - straight and tough" if there is obviously nothing to critizise? It has everything. The aesthetics, the story. SImply great.
