On the Rocks
this huge barge ran onto the rocky beach of English Bay about 5 weeks ago when we had major storms - to this day they have not been able to free her even at the hightest tide ... Fortunately the barge was empty and not loaded with sand when the mishap happened.
I took this on Dec. 4th at full tide - the sailboat is almost next to it.

Eine sehr gute Bilddokumentation von Dir. Gott sei Dank handelt es sich nicht um einen Ölcontainer !Es dürfte schwierig sein, diese Barkasse wieder freizugeben.

I've never seen such a barge before, Adele! The special construction of this vessel is really unknown to me and therefore a kind of interest!By contrast, wracked ships on the North Sea coast are well known to me. Therefore I'm not surprised about this unfortunately situation - and I think too, it takes time before the works can go on. Your photo with the wild waves are looking fantastic!
