Passage Between the LIght

When we die tey say before we cross over there is a tunnel and light at the other end we travel to. Here at this one Catholic Church. A Priest gave birth to two children with down syndrome, The priest created a home to take care of his two girls. HIs action grew into helping the old unable to care for them selves.
Here there is hot running water and indoor bathrooms. A care person to take of the old until the end.

Sometimes persons develop special forces and abilities to sustain calamities that tend to turn their lives to pieces.... Just because they are sent from God....We, all the rest, not posessing such ability- because probably our faith isn't enough- we submit ourselves to the benevolence of fate and luck....The priest could have cast a menacing and hostile glance to God for his misfortune. Instead he devoted himself to benevolence towards others...
    Great and symbolical picture Glenn.
    best regards alexander

not sure i'm getting the story here. is it a story of penitence? a priest fathering two children with down syndrome? or merely delivering them? if it's the former , i'd like to know what happened to the mother. in both cases, i'd be impressed by the good that was brought into the world by the birth of those two little girls! and you captured the old ladies beautifully: one dressed in flowers and facing away from the light, still walking towards life, one might say ; ), and the other sticking her head out the room hoping for a little chat – life could be better, i suppose, but it could also be a lot worse… greetings, sabine. p.s.: are we still in italy?

Good that there are people who care for the elderly who are alone.
A theme that encourages to think. Good photo.

Taking care of the old is a basic responsibility of society. Glad that these two ladies have a warm place to stay.
