Prasat Preah Vihear is Cambodians soul

Along the causeway to the third level of the temples area some plates fixed on trees remind of the important fundament of Cambodian history, the Angkor dynasty from the 9th to the 13th centuries.
All the Thai people have to respect that the temple complex Preah Vihear is Cambodian culture too. Its Cambodian territory and the right of Cambodian rules.
When we visited the complex in the year 2000 there was made an agreement (unfortunately only for a very short time): The Thais opened the border on the small creek which marks the Thai-Cambodian border. The Thais had a good income by the transports and lodge of the tourists, the Khmers the income by selling short time visa and entrance fees. So both sides share the business, the best way to make satisfaction.
I already wrote before: Local people live together in peace for a long time, but the Thai government mostly inflame the conflict to influence citizen and to distract them from inner political excitements.
