      Thankyou.
I found Stokesay castle difficult to photograph.
It is difficult to fit it into the frame.
      But I do like Shropshire.
I get the impression that few Germans visit Shropshire.
It is "off the beaten track" (out of the way), as we say over here.

To be honest, the last time I was there was in the early 1990s or late 1980s. I liked it a lot, especially the way the explanations were given. I have a drawing of it hanging in my office.

Well - I could see that the castle was something of a melange - built up over time.  It is a survivor.
I have a great affection for Shropshire and its region.
Partly - this is because of the poetry of AE Housman.
His poems are set in shropshire.
There is one book that i am aware of - which has translated the poetry into German- but it is probably not easy to acquire.
