Teak door to Wat Thung Si Mueang
The interior of the teak temple in Ubon Ratchathani is unfortunately in need of renovation, but is well worth seeing. The mostly closed door to the holy center, the prayer room (in a Thai Wat called the Bot or Ubosot) where the monks hold their ceremonies. The door made of solid teak shows golden inlays with motifs of two Apsaras, half-human, half-divine women.
