Thai man working in the Nang Yai

Nang Yai is a form of shadow puppet performance that originated in Thailand. Nang is a Thai word for animal hide, and Yai means large— added to the name to suggest the size of the pieces of animal hide used in the shows in order to distinguish this particular type of show from other Thai shadow puppet performances.
The man uses special tools to punch a work of art out of the leather hide of a buffalo.
The photo captured inside the open air museum Mueang Boran in Samut Prakhan nearby Bangkok.
