The Burden of One

As I come to the end of another shoot my heart is sadden. Not only from the ending of feeling the human element under the light. I have heard it over and over. How a family is made with hopes of staying together but in reality the children flee in search of their dreams and never coming home, and surpassing to me, not even for the funeral of their father. The dream turns like a rotten apple from their fields, and becomes the burden of one.. Too poor to have a horse, and cart to go up hill. Instead the weight of her reality weighs on her back until she becomes beaten. Too worn to place her foot one at a time in front of the other. Someday her God might come for her. Pray that it is sudden and in her sleep with good dreams. She knows he will, and just maybe what keeps her going is the knowing. Like many in the Orthodox churches here on hands and knees for periods of time can send tears streaming down.

Romania has a special side found with the old that remember when. AFter them there is no Romania to come back to.
