The earth is what I speak to when
I do not understand my life…
In a boat heading up a dark river
Someone is setting my sails
Fear….
The earth answers me with the same song
That it sang for my ancestors when
their tears covered up the sun
I breathe in the colours of the trees
Makes me feel alive
Awareness….
The earth sings a song of gladness
Sings along. With praise?
The end of comfort behind a silverscreen
My blood rushes down my veins
The earth rises up and laughs at me
Where is my brain?
I can feel my heartbeat
Horses thunder through the valleys below
Passion….
Each time that I forget
How spring begins with winter
And death begins with birth
The trees hold my breath. Suck it in

Trees open up their scared wooden hearts

A songbird feathers my pain
