The Desert

The Desert
Middle East
The sand dunes

About one third of the land surface of the world is arid or semi-arid.The desert is a barren area of landscape where only scanty precipitation occurs and living conditions become hostile for plant and animal life. Despite the lack of rain winds can be fierce and stormy altering continuously the sand surface. Wind blown sand grains striking any solid object in their path can abrade the surface. rocks are smoothed down and the wind sorts sand in various deposits, the sand dunes.
It's amazing the variation of colours a desert can take in different hours of the day and under the extreme changes of temperature. The beauty of dunes is surreal... A constant provocation for shooting.!
