Doirani North Greece at the borders with Fyrom
Doirani is a little village on a beautiful lake in Northern Greece at the borders with Fyrom. Long ago a local train would reach there as the last station in it's destination. Then the connection was abandonned and the station was deserted. Now it still stays there with some wagons scattered on the rails as miserable ghosts wandering in a cemetary....

Built with love and pride, used and then just left....abandoned to the rigors of nature. Paint peeling, wood rotting and the weeds trying to make it all look a little better. A sad place very well taken.:))

a sad looking building, overgrown by weeds, walls peeling, doors broken - a feeling of nostalgia as one discovers fine iron work and the old wagon through the arch of the door .... a great capture in difficult light, the tonality excellent !!!greetings, Adele
