The Living Forest (226) : Coltsfoot
Back home again from Easter holiday.
Early april and most parts of the forests are still in hibernation (rather unusual at this time of the year) but a sign of change (be it small) can be spotted here and there.
Have a look on this Coltsfoot duo that was already awake and didn’t seem to suffer of frost and cold.
These early spring flowers, that resemble dandelions, love to grow in damp places.
Coltsfoot produces only pollen, no nectar.
Dutch name : Klein Hoefblad
German name : Huflattich
Latin name : Tussilago farfara
