Why do we still think these are houses of correction? Nobody comes out 'correct'! Great shot and the sign lets us know what the background is. Glad they are no longer a prison but Almshouses.Regards,

At first I was puzzled as to where you took this, but having read the plaque I now know exactly :)))A great shot through the iron railings to what are now Almshouses.
