you're right it is too big for squirrels!!! if the try and get their teeth into that (if they can) they wont be a happy squirrel!!good photo xxx

: ))))))) maybe they have a humongous squirrel hiding somewhere in the bushes, and coming out of hiding only when all the visitors of the nature park have left ; ))! nah, probably not… a very impressive acorn! and a great shot, georgia! love how you captured the pretty spring-colored bracken in the back, and the beautiful light and shadowplay! the one light-green leaf on the right reminds me of a fan keeping the acorn fresh and cool – preserving it for the squirrel with its giant appetite ; )))… greetings, sabine. p.s. do squirrels eat acorns at all? i'm not sure…Agnieszka Wachocka 04/06/2010 22:57
