I Like these "around the corner" pictures. My first reaction was: "why not landscape format" with the top a little below half of the height.
I must say though, that this works very well as well, maybe because of precisely where the turn starts, and where the horizontal goes, in relation to top and bottom (namely at the 1/3rd).
A very well balanced composition.

This is a good example of how you can turn a very simple and barenaked motive into a good picture by applying a clever compositional idea. The picture has a strong graphical impact. Well done! Personally I would like compare it with another, somewhat darker version, to see if the graphical impact could be made even stronger that way. I'm not sure what's best though. Greetings, Anders
