Hi Berthold, you have a very good portfolio. I picked this photo to critique because I have taken a lot which are similar to this. I will separate the tree from the background in my mind while in reality it ends up being noisy and not peaceful or minimalist. The composition for the Birch tree is good, I would love it if there was fog hiding everything else, so the yellow tree was all you saw. Regards David

  Dear David, I feel honored that you appreciate my portfolio. As you may have seen I have been working on many topics of photography over years. I agree with you considering the separation of the Birch tree from the rest, but I didn’t have the possibility because the trees behind are quite close and I had my fog machine at home ;-)) End of 2020, being captured by corona I had proposed a quarterly contest in our photo club to keep the members active. Regarding the corona restrictions we started with the theme „Trees“ and this is one of the results.

  I shot this yesterday, a morning with misty grey weather, with a tele lens. So therefore I had to adjust the colors and contrast quite a bit to obtain this result. Happy you like it... regards Berthold
